Long Speech on APJ Abdul Kalam 500 Words in English

Hello! Good morning to everyone here.

Before I say anything else, I’d like to give a warm welcome to everyone here. I’m grateful to everyone here for giving me this wonderful chance to talk about Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the most amazing person who ever lived.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was one of the most humble, smart, wise, selfless, loving, and lovable leaders who ever lived. He was born in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, on October 15, 1931. He was India’s eleventh President and led the country for one term. Not only that, but he is also one of the most famous scientists who has worked for well-known companies like DRDO and ISRO in his career.

He was a real gem and no one disliked him. But first, let’s learn a bit more about him. His full name was Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam. He was born into a Muslim family in the middle class. From the start of his life, he was a hard worker who always did what he said he would do. In his early years, he helped his family make a living while also going to school. He started his career and life quickly because he was smart and had a lot of potential.

On his way to success, he went through a lot of hard times. Once, his sister sold some of her jewellery to pay for his college. After he graduated, he went to work for the defence department to help the country. From there, the famous scientist started on a path that led to success after success. He was one of many scientists in India who worked on making nuclear power work. He also won several awards and prizes for his work.

In 1988, Dr. Kalam was one of the most important people involved in the Pokhran-II tests. Dr. Kalam was never interested in politics. But in 2002, the Indian National Democratic Alliance asked him to put him forward as a candidate for President. He said yes because he cared about the country and was eager to work for it. He won the election and became the President of India with the help of the Indian National Democratic Alliance.

He was a dreamer and a thinker. He had a dream of making India one of the world’s superpowers. He had a very different idea of what it meant to dream. He stressed that the dreams aren’t the ones you see when you’re sleeping; they’re the ones that won’t let you sleep. Without a doubt, these are valuable words of wisdom. He always told people to work hard and not worry about how things will turn out. He thought that if you work hard, you will always get the result.

Dr. Kalam works hard and makes many contributions for the good of the country. In the year 1997, he was given the Bharat Ratna award. But the saddest thing is that we no longer have people like this. He had a heart attack and fell over while giving a speech at the Institute of Management in Shillong. Even though he tried very hard, he still left us. This made July 27, 2015, one of the saddest days in India’s history.

Even though he has left us, I would like to say that he is still in our hearts as a source of inspiration and motivation. People will always remember his wise words and amazing deeds. He was a very important and well-known person who showed us how to change our country. We will always be grateful to him for that.

Thank you all very much. Have a good Day!
