The NCR full form is the National Capital Region. NCR is the metropolitan region that encompasses the entirety of Delhi as well as other districts from the neighboring states of UP, Rajasthan, and Haryana. Therefore, Delhi and the urban areas of the surrounding states are regarded as the NCR.

Idea of NCR
In 1962, the First Master Plan for Delhi proposed transforming a substantial portion of Delhi and adjacent towns into a metropolitan zone in order to alleviate the city’s population burden.
