What is the full form of NCB?

The NCB full form is Narcotics Control Bureau. NCB is India’s premier intelligence and coordination agency. It aims to combat drug smuggling and illegal substance consumption, and its headquarters are located in New Delhi, India. In March 1986, it was established under Section 4(3) of the 1985 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

Charter of Narcotics Control Bureau

  • In accordance with the Customs Act of 1962, the Drugs and Cosmetics Act of 1940, etc., to coordinate the operations of agents, state governments, and other relevant agencies.

  • Assistance in collaboration and global actions against the criminal trade in drugs and psychoactive substances by the relevant authorities in foreign states and other international organizations.
