What is the GSI full form?
GSI full form is the Geological Survey of India. It is an Indian government organization that conducts geological surveys and investigations. It is the second-oldest survey in the nation and is a department of the Ministry of Mines.

1851 saw the founding of GSI. It has six regional offices spread across Jaipur, Lucknow, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Shillong in addition to its headquarters in Kolkata, West Bengal. The Union Cabinet appointed an HPC (High Powered Committee) to analyze the Geological Survey of India’s operations and determine its capacity to address expanding concerns while taking into account the organization’s technical and human resources.
