A Detailed Essay on Indian Army in English

The Indian Army is the part of the Indian Armed Forces that works on land. It is the largest army and the second-largest army in the world. The Indian Army is led by a four-star general who is the Chief of Army Staff (COAS).

The Indian President is the Supreme Commander of the Indian Army. The “Nations in Conflict” peacekeeping medal has been given to two battalions of the Indian Army. The Indian Army is organised by regiments, but geographically and operationally, it is split into seven commands. A division is the basic unit on the field. It is made up of all volunteers and has more than 81,000 active troops and close to 1,160,000 troops who help them.

The main goal of the Indian Army is to protect the country’s borders from aggression and threats from outside and to keep peace and security inside the country’s borders. It does things like Operation Surya Hope to help people during natural disasters and other unrest. The government can also call on it to help in times of national emergency.

The Indian Army has been in five wars: four with Pakistan, which is right next door, and one with China. It has also helped keep peace in many places around the world.

The Indian Army is made up of many regiments. Each regiment is based on a certain area, and each regiment has its own traditions, history, and cap badge. The different parts of the Indian Army are not all based in the same place. As part of missions to keep the peace or train people, they are sent to India and other countries on a rotating basis.

Awards and Bravery

Soldiers are given awards to show appreciation for their bravery on the battlefield. The President of India is in charge of giving out the awards. Some awards or honours that stand out are the Param Vir Chakra, the Maha Vir Chakra, the Ashoka Chakra, the Kirti Chakra, the Shaurya Chakra, and the Vir Chakra. These awards are given to people who have shown gratitude in a brave way. A lot of people in the Indian Army have won these awards.

How Strong the Indian Army Is

The Indian Army has more people than any other group in the Indian Armed Force. The Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force are both based on water, but the Indian Army is based on land. Most of the ranks are the same as they were when the Britishers were in charge. They are General, Field Marshal, Colonel, Lieutenant General, Brigadier, Lieutenant Colonel, Major General, Lieutenant, Major, Captain, Officer Cadet.

Officers in the Indian army are promoted and given new jobs based on how well they do in different training courses. Promotions up to and including lieutenant colonel depend on how long a person has been in the military. Promotions to colonel and above depend on being chosen and promoted to colonel.

A Soldier life Essay

I used to tell my dad that I wanted to join the army like he did (he served in the Territorial Army as a junior commissioned officer). When asked, “Why did you want to join the army?” “I would get a gun and a strong stick and use them to beat up the bad guys,” was my answer. This made my dad laugh out loud.

I see now that I was wrong. The truth is that it’s one of the hardest places to work and not exactly a bed of roses. The media gave me some information about how the army works, but I soon found out that it was only half true. I could only find out what was really going on by talking to real “Faujis.” My dad and a few of his friends who also served in the army were happy to talk about their experiences.

He told me that their training days were hard because the environment was so different from what they were used to in civilian life. In the real world, 6 o’clock means 6.15 or 6.30, but in the army, 6 o’clock means exactly 6 o’clock. Many times, my dad and his coworkers got in trouble for being late. Most of the time, the punishment was very hard. Usually, it would run at full speed for miles or something.

After P.T. in the morning, a few hours of physical endurance training began. Most of the trainees thought of their instructors as bad guys. After a 10-mile run, my dad and his friends were once told they couldn’t have water. We knew what they would do. They had joked about killing the teacher at the time.

After that, there were theory classes. Evening was a time to play. The cadets used to play football, volleyball, basketball, and many other games. Dinner was a fancy event. There, they made a lot of friends. In this way, time went by, and my dad’s training was done.

He was sent to many different places, but there was one that he thought was the hardest. He even got a medal for being brave for that.

Why the Indian Army is Important

The Indian army’s main job is to protect our country from both outside and inside threats. It has shown how strong it is many times. Since getting its independence, it has won five big wars and a lot of smaller ones as well. It has won wars even when the other side had better weapons.

In 1965, Pakistan, for example, had Patton tanks (gifted to them by America). At the time, they were thought to be unbeatable. India had nothing that could compete with those Patton tanks. In the battle of Asal Uttar, the Indian army was still able to beat the Pakistani tanks.

Actions of the Indian Army

The Indian Army’s top priority is to protect the safety and unity of the country, defend it from any kind of attack from the outside or from within, and keep peace and security within the borders. The Army is also in charge of rescue missions during natural disasters, calamities, or any other kind of trouble.

This shows their caring side. Some of the most important wars and battles in which the Indian Army took part are: 2020-2022 2020-2021: China-India problem India-Pakistan border issue, 2019 India-Pakistan border issue, 2016-2018 India-Pakistan border issue, 2016 Indian Line of Control strike, 2014-2015 India-Pakistan border issue, 2013 India-Pakistan border issue, 2011 India-Pakistan border issue, 2008 Indo-Pakistani standoff, 2001-2002 India and Pakistan standoff, Kargil War, Siachen conflict, Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, Nathu La and Cho La clashes, Sino-Indian War of 1962, Second Kashmir War, Annexation of Goa, and First Kashmir War.

Conclusion

Each country has its own army to protect the country from threats from the outside. But it also helps in many other ways, both inside and outside the body. Even though each country’s Army (or military) has different uniforms, equipment, and strategies, its main goal is to protect its people. In the same way, the Indian Army works hard to protect Indians and their freedom, as well as to keep peace in the country.

A Short Note on Indian Army

The Indian Army is the third-largest army in the world. It is also one of the strongest and most powerful armies in the world. In battles and missions that have been done in the past, they have shown that they are better. This short English essay on the Indian Army shows how powerful and strong it is.

The Indian Army has only one goal: to protect the country’s security and keep the country united. All of the things that Army recruits do are aimed at this one goal. There are a total of 65 regiments in the Indian Army. These regiments are divided into groups based on their skills and abilities. They are taught how to stand in two different formations: the holding formation and the combat formation. The holding formation is for defence, while the combat formation is for offence.

The Indian Army gets better at what it does by doing training missions with strong countries like the US, Russia, and Israel.
