What is the full form of the CVV?
The CVV full form is Card Verification Value. Financial institutions provide this security feature on credit, debit, and ATM cards. It is a three-digit number or a set of three-digit numbers located on the right side of the signature strip on the back of credit and debit cards. Its purpose is to establish the identity of the account holder and reduce the likelihood of online banking fraud. The CVV is also known as the CVC (card verification code) and the CPC (card protection code). American Express (AMEX) cards normally feature a four-digit number on their front.
