What is the Full form of CPCB?
The CPCB full form is Central Pollution Control Board. The agency was founded in September 1974 by the Water Act of 1974. It was also given the Air Force’s responsibilities and competencies (Prevention and Control of Pollution Act, 1981). The chairman of the CPCB is appointed by the federal government.

- Collect, organize, and disseminate statistical and technical data on air and water emissions and the management of water and air quality.
- Commence the preparation of manuals, protocols, and instructions for the treatment and disposal of wastewater and industrial effluents.
- As established by the Indian government, defines air quality norms and fulfills useful functions.
