What is the full form of CA?

The CA full form is the Chartered Accountant. The Chartered Accountants of India are governed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Currently, more than 2.70 million CAs operate in India. Their key tasks include financial and general management, taxation, accounting, and auditing. They operate in all areas of business and finance. Individuals are permitted to have their own private practice. Additionally, few are hired by government-owned and commercial organizations.

Eligibility Criteria Of CA

Those who plan to apply for CA would have registered in the CPC course through ICAI. Only registered candidates are eligible for the CA exam. The following are the eligibility requirements for the CA:

  • Applicants must have passed a 10th- and 12th-level examination administered by a recognized education board or an equivalent examination.
  • The CA CPT test is open to candidates with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in commerce with a minimum score of 55%.
  • Applicants holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a non-commerce field and a cumulative score of at least 60% in all courses are also excused from taking the entry-level exam.
  • A candidate must serve as an Article Assistant for three years after finishing the CA foundation course before being eligible to take the CA final test.
