What is the full form of CBSE?
The CBSE full form is the Central Board of Secondary Education. The Indian Union Government operates and regulates CBSE, an Indian national-level education body for private and public schools. CBSE has mandated that all affiliated schools implement exclusively the NCERT curriculum. History of CBSE
The first educational board to be established in India in 1921 was the Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education, which was governed by Rajputana, Central India, and Gwalior.
The Board of High School and Intermediate Education was founded by the government of India in 1929.
Eligibility criteria to attend CBSE Examination
AISSE is the name of the exam administered by CBSE to class ten students, while AISSCE is the name of the exam administered to class 12 students. The National Eligibility Test (NET) is administered annually by the CBSE for teacher recruitment.
- Only students registered in CBSE-affiliated schools may sit for the 10th- and 12th-grade AISSE and AISSCE examinations.
- In accordance with CBSE norms, students with a Master’s degree in social sciences, humanities, etc. from a UGC-recognized board or university and a cumulative GPA of at least 55 percent are eligible to take the NET exam.

Examinations conducted by CBSE Board
- Annually, the CBSE administers final exams to students in the 10th and 12th grades.

- CBSE also administers the yearly National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), a competitive exam for admission to India’s top medical schools.
- In addition, a CTET (Central Teachers Eligibility Test) is administered annually to hire teachers for the central educational institution.
