What is the Full form of AMIE?
The AMIE full form is the Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers. Institution of Engineers in India administers the AMIE test, a degree-level engineering exam, for distance-based admissions to BE and BTech degrees. It is crucial to note that AMIE appears to be the only remote learning option for engineering students. All state and federal governments, the UPSC, AICTE, and other authors recognize these degrees.

Eligibility criteria
To qualify for the AMIE exam, candidates must satisfy the following prerequisites:
- AMIE is open to candidates having a 3-year Polytechnic Diploma or its equivalent in any engineering discipline. Note that there will be no score limits in the admissions process.
- For this examination, candidates must have passed their +2/HSC/PDC with a minimum of 45 percent in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as their primary subjects.
- Applicants with equivalent training qualifications are also eligible to participate in AMIE.
Use of AMIE
AMIE is equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in engineering; a certified student may additionally take the following exams:
